Student Life

Students in the OYAP program range in age but are united in their high level of performance and commitment to becoming better musicians. Housing is provided at Winterplace Condominiums, and lunch and dinner are served at the Sugar House Restaurant (within walking distance of Winterplace Condominiums) on Okemo Mountain. Students are only responsible for breakfast. Trips to the grocery, drugstore, and video rental are made available through a sign-up sheet. Fully equipped kitchens, in-unit (free) laundry, linens, and towels are included within each condo. Living quarters, lessons, and coachings are all within a few minutes walking distance.

The residential layout features a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts and other facilities. While the practice and study schedule is rigorous, the staff also organizes a wide variety of recreational activities, including hikes, informal team sports, shopping trips, and movie outings.
