Schedule

Beginning on June 16th and ending on July 17th, the typical student’s weekly schedule includes 4-6 hours of daily individual practice in addition to two-hour chamber music rehearsals, bi-weekly private lessons and chamber music coachings. Weekly masterclasses are given by resident faculty and guest artists.

Numerous performance opportunities are held in concerts on Okemo and in the surrounding region. A small number of exceptional students may be selected to perform chamber music with faculty in the faculty-artist series.


Dates and Admission Information

All prospective students must complete an application form and mail it with a non-refundable application fee of $75. Applications should be received byMarch 1, 2010. Applications received after that date will be considered on a space-available basis and will be charged a late fee of $50.

Applicants who are not students of the program’s faculty must submit an audition tape/cd/dvd containing 2 contrasting works with approximately 15 minutes of playing time and a letter of recommendation from their major teacher.

Tuition

$2,950 due May 15th. A fee of $50 will be charged for late applications.

Tuition includes lodging, lunch and dinner, all lessons and classes

In addition to the tuition, each student must submit a $100 lodging deposit payable to Okemo Mountain. The deposit will be returned in full at the end of the program if there are no damage assessments and no additional charges outstanding.

Scholarship assistance is available but is limited. Please investigate your local community (religious groups, schools, arts, civic organizations such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions, etc & private donors) for alternate sources of financial aid.

Arrival Information

All students should plan to arrive on June 17th and depart on July 18th from the Albany International Airport. Students should schedule flights to arrive between 10am-4pm and depart from 12pm-6pm. For a $25, one-way transportation fee, a shuttle service will be provided to-and-from Ludlow during these times. Students are responsible for their own transportation outside of these times.
