The Okemo Young Artists' Program (OYAP) was created in 2006 with the objective of offering the highest musical instruction to aspiring young artists. The program's founder, Marko Dreher, formed the program on the basis of his own musical up-bringing when his former instructors, Almita and Roland Vamos, held the Weathersfield Music Festival. Similar to what they once started years ago, OYAP provides an intense musical environment in a beautiful setting.

The program is held on Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, VT. In addition to the focused month of practicing, the exceptional group of students selected each year will have the opportunity to study with world-renowned faculty. Students are given bi-weekly private lessons and chamber music coachings, weekly guest artist masterclasses, and performance opportunities which are widely available throughout the program.

Despite the musical rigors, Okemo Mountain proves to be a beautiful backdrop for these four weeks. Students can also be found playing soccer during a practice break, hiking on an afternoon off, or congregating for movie night. Just as valuable as their summer musical progress, life-long friendships are formed as well as fond memories. OYAP assures each student an enriching summer of both artistic and personal growth.
